eclipse

riley & victoria attempt to kill edward

on Friday i watched eclipse with lun at the horribly cold Premier cinema in the Gardens.

ticket cost rm23, and i think GSC spent it all on bloody air con!

;;;;;

in the morning, mum decided she wanted to go shopping at Metrojaya Gardens.

'it will be quick,' she promised.

quick, my foot! i spent all morning trying to convince her that, no, she doesn't need yet another bag; nope, it is not a fantastic deal; no, that bag doesn't look good on her; nope, that bag is ugly, period.

she s a SHOPAHOLIC!

we shared a set lunch at Din Tai Fung and had Beard Papa chocolate cream puffs for dessert. i love Beard Papa!

then it was back to Kipling & LeSportSac, the new loves of her lives.

she managed to wear me down so i found a sofa to doze on, having woken at 4am due to sheer hunger. after i woke, i went to mph to flick through magazines. vogue isn't really worth the price as u can read the cover stories online. vivi s still the best japanese fashion magazine.

;;;;;

finally, after spending the minimum amount she has to burn at every store, i packed her into my car and went to meet lun.

riley s just so cute!

i only watch twilight movies for the photogenic actors, and eclipse s better than new moon, where everybody somehow managed to look ugly.

;;;;;

we wanted to dine at Delicious but there was a scary waiting list, as is at all the other restaurants in MidValley/Gardens.

in the end we had a late dinner at Delifrance Leisure Mall. not-very-yummy chicken bolognese with an insincere promo-- u get a free bread pudding if u breakfast at the same outlet the following day. i despise stupid promos like these! however, the price was very reasonable-- rm 6.

lun is the only guy who eats slower & quieter than me, it's almost scary!

it is a big world out there

flew in from peking yesterday. i feel different from the girl who went. traveling is never overrated. my bestie in peking is not brand-obsessed. and the friends she introduced to me are bright kids on ntu scholarships. they have budgets and watch their spending. they prefer holidaying to buying luxury goods.

i used to find lv ugly and overpriced, until my peers began using them. somewhere along the way, chanel and hermes became my dreams. my original daydreams of backpacking through europe were shortened to visions of shopping in chanel paris.

seeing a bit more of the world, hanging out with people with goals.. it has been an amazing month, even if i am no closer to discovering what i want to do in life. i love listening to xian & co. talk. they are passionate about what they are studying. i can't imagine sue suddenly gushing about accounting theories to me over lunch. having goals is a beautiful thing
